If you have been struggling to find the correct reading instruction to help your son or daughter (or even yourself) read more fluently, then you have opened the right door!  Here at Red Door Educational Services, LLC, we help identify and offer tutoring in the area of dyslexia.  Dyslexia is an often misunderstood term with many people having the misconception that simply reversing letters or writing numbers backwards makes someone dyslexic.  While those may be indicators, in reality, “Dyslexia involves a weakness within the language system, specifically at the level of the phonologic module.” (Shaywitz, M.D., Sally. Learning to read fluently is possible with the correct reading instruction.  We use an Orton-Gillingham based program, Barton Reading, to systematically instruct and retrain the brain so that spelling and reading are improved.
